Lingyun Guo completed her bachelor’s degree at Qingdao Agricultural University and master’s degree at Shandong University. Afterreceiving her PhD from Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich, Germany, she joined the EMBLab at Westlake University.
Her current research focuses on the study ofpredatory bacteria and microbial ecology within the food web. She is dedicated to investigating the potential antibiotic resources provided by predatorybacteria, as well as exploring their application in the prevention and controlof drug-resistant pathogens in the environment. To achieve these goals, she employ a combination of culture-dependent classic microbiology andculture-independent microbiome analysis techniques.
